Replacement key shell or complete fob?
A replacement shell repairs the outer housing only when the existing electronics and other transferred parts remain suitable. A complete replacement fob includes electronics that may need programming. Identify what is actually broken before ordering a housing or a new key.
Distinguish cosmetic and functional damage
A cracked case, loose blade holder or worn button cover can be a housing problem. A failed circuit board or damaged internal component is different. Tell the technician which functions still work and whether the key was dropped or exposed to liquid.
Check the transfer requirements
